Many proudly say that the best Yam in the world is produced in the Montes de María, but there is no doubt that the way it is being cultivated is exemplary. «Yam has historically been the most cultivated and exported product from the Montes de María, thanks to the region’s geographical characteristics and many thermal zones… they are grown using ancestral techniques,» said Toy Keneth Narváez, a Navy non-commissioned officer.
