The Quality Policy outlines TropiRoots’ commitments to ensuring high standards in the production, packaging, logistics, and commercial compliance of Colombian Yam exports.
At TropiRoots, our mission is to export high-quality Colombian Yam with full traceability, logistical compliance, and social responsibility. Therefore, we:
Commit to meeting national and international phytosanitary requirements for export.
Pursue continuous improvement in agricultural processes, harvesting, selection, packaging, and shipping.
Guarantee that the products we deliver meet the specifications agreed with customers (quality, size, freshness, hygiene, international standards).
The Quality Policy applies to all processes including:
Agricultural production (crop management, pest control, fertilization).
Harvesting, sorting, washing, and selection of Yam.
Packaging, storage, and transport control.
Export logistics, phytosanitary compliance, and customs operations.
Commercial management and customer service.
Achieve 100% compliance with contractual requirements for each shipment.
Reduce defects or rejections at the facility or destination to a target percentage (e.g., <1%).
Improve operational efficiency and reduce post-harvest losses.
Obtain international certifications (if applicable, e.g., Good Agricultural Practices, ISO).
Maintain high customer satisfaction through timely delivery, communication, and transparency.
TropiRoots senior management is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and reviewing this Quality Policy.
Leaders of each area (agriculture, operations, logistics, commercial) must ensure their processes comply with this policy.
All employees must understand the Quality Policy and their role in meeting its standards.
Conduct internal audits and periodic performance evaluations.
Review key metrics (rejections, delivery times, customer complaints) and take corrective actions.
Promote ongoing training in best agricultural practices, packaging techniques, international regulations, and quality control.
This Quality Policy is communicated internally to ensure all team members are informed.
Whenever possible, we share our standards and quality results with clients and stakeholders.
Customer feedback is welcomed to improve processes.
Management will review this policy annually (or when regulatory or market changes occur) to ensure its relevance, effectiveness, and currency.
